Come holidays and most of us don't know what to do with ourselves. So I decided to do a short internship and to my good luck I got to do it with r+k, which happens to be one of the leading design companies that many students would like to work with. This was something I didn't know until many of my seniors stared open-mouthed at me when I told them. In a way I'm glad because it would've put a lot of pressure on me otherwise. Anyway it was a whole new experience for me. To begin with, the long hours were very different to college life. Secondly, I had never worked on a mac before. Anyway the whole point of an internship is to learn something and gain experience and that's exactly how I am bettered by those two weeks. I was told to design a logo for ARFF(aircraft rescue and firefighting), the fire department that operates in Hyderabad airport, keeping in mind certain specifications. I came up with a logo and a few options and I was quite satisfied. But I was extremely excited when I was told that my logo was actually selected in its unaltered form and is actually up on fire trucks already. This is what I came up with...

i tell u wat. no comments. it's a very very good logo. superb. keep it going. but next time when u try make sure u dont get these elements back in ur logos, it happens most f the time. simplification is the biggest sophistication. about the green 1 i knew it long back. sorry.

and when any1 tells u logo has to be very very simple dont listen to them. wat i meant by simplicity was totally different.

if u have softcopy of ur logo, put only the logo n the blog, because in this perspective, the detail is lost. i cant c things very clearly.

unfortunately i didn't keep a soft copy..

Nice! Keep it up Ginelle. But make sure (like Vibin said) that you have a soft copy. Later on in your portfolio it has to be shown.:)
