Well I decided to create a brand and make a brand identity. Well this is just a start. Comments and suggestions will be well appreciated.

This is the logo for a travel agency called Traveller. They do ticket bookings and hotel reservations. They deal with short distance, nearby places as well as across the seas, faraway places. Basically 'across the seas and meadows'. Hence the colours green and blue.

This is the visiting card. The same basic layout will be used for all the employees.
This is the layout for the letterhead that I have designed. I think it goes with the look and feel of the brand.

Fortune tellers..

Fortune tellers! Fortune tellers!! My goodness. What good can they be? Of late I've been hearing a lot about these strange people. Now here's what I think. Whether used casually or not, whether people really believe in them or not, the fact remains that due to the uncertainty of our fate at some level we all do believe that someone who can confidently tell us what our future is going to be like. But here's what I think. It is no good. What will you do if someone had to come and tell you that your going to die in a road accident? Will you stop using the road and stay within the confines of your house? What if you heard that you would die at child birth? Is that going to stop you from having a baby? I don't think so. I think it will just play on your mind and ruin your mental health! If someone had to tell you that you would lose your assets because of your carelessness, are you going to live in fear of yourself? I'm no expert on soothsayers or handwriting analysts, but all I can say is I'm still not convinced!

Yes, I know. Its another g! Too bad I'm still looking for inspiration. Until that happens you will have to put up with this. Anyway I was flipping through a book the other day and I came across something which inspired me to do this one. Let me know what you think.

Come holidays and most of us don't know what to do with ourselves. So I decided to do a short internship and to my good luck I got to do it with r+k, which happens to be one of the leading design companies that many students would like to work with. This was something I didn't know until many of my seniors stared open-mouthed at me when I told them. In a way I'm glad because it would've put a lot of pressure on me otherwise. Anyway it was a whole new experience for me. To begin with, the long hours were very different to college life. Secondly, I had never worked on a mac before. Anyway the whole point of an internship is to learn something and gain experience and that's exactly how I am bettered by those two weeks. I was told to design a logo for ARFF(aircraft rescue and firefighting), the fire department that operates in Hyderabad airport, keeping in mind certain specifications. I came up with a logo and a few options and I was quite satisfied. But I was extremely excited when I was told that my logo was actually selected in its unaltered form and is actually up on fire trucks already. This is what I came up with...

Take a look at THAT..

Amazing! Brilliant!! I'm still staring wide-eyed at it. I think the
person who came up with an idea like that should be rewarded.

So i thought to myself,''Why be bored when you can experiment with fonts and then edit with photoshop?'' And this was the result of a dreaded not-so-boring evening. Well in case you haven't figured it out yet, its a g. No, wait, its an s. Well its both-g and s-my initials. I really don't know how cool you think it is but I personally think its brilliant. I mean how often do you come across something like this?
